Q:
Can I make changes to a certain floor plan?
A:
You may make minor changes to floor plans. No foundation, elevation (front facade of home), or plumbing changes are available due to engineering, inspectors, etc. We give you many options with the homes so that you may choose what will best suit your needs. You should check with your builder to ensure that the minor changes you select do not conflict with load bearing walls and structure. Back to top
Q:
I'm being transferred to a different city where you build. Can I start the building process before I move?
A:
We build homes for people out of town every day. You will initially have to visit to sign the paperwork with your sales counselor. You will then need to meet with your builder to go over your selections. After that, he will be in contact with you to update you weekly on the status of your home. Back to top
Q:
What is the difference in the "Build on Your Lot" program from the "Master Planned Communities?"
A:
The "Build On Your Lot" program is for homeowners who own their own land. It is the lot owner who must provide sewer, electrical and water before the building process with David Weekley Homes can begin. In a "Master Planned community", the developer is responsible for providing the sewer, electrical, and water as part of the community. A monthly maintenance fee is charged for the up-keep of most of the amenities that are associated with a "Master Planned Community". Back to top
Q:
What's the difference between an Imagination Collection and your regular Weekley home?
A:
David Weekley Homes, whose name has become synonymous with creativity, has found a way to design homes that live, look and feel far above their price range - introducing the David Weekley Homes Imagination Collection. These homes look as if they couldn't possibly be this affordable. And that's a big part of their beauty and value. With a home from the Imagination Collection, you'll enjoy all the benefits of a David Weekley home - Design, Choice and Service.

This collection of homes is designed and built with the same craftsmanship and many of the same features David Weekley homes are so well known for. By eliminating some of the more costly, less obvious options, we've crafted homes with a look and feel far above their price range. You'll still enjoy making decorator selections like flooring, carpets and countertops as well as the personal attention we provide through our Personal Builder SM and Warranty Service programs. If you're looking for an exceptional home at a reasonable price by a builder you can trust, there's only one logical choice, the David Weekley Homes Imagination Collection. Back to top

Q:
I am relocating to one of your cities, how can I find out about homes that are already under construction?
A:
Each of our cities has a page that lists homes under construction and their estimated times of completion. To get to this page, click on the "Homes Ready Soon?" button on the navigation bar. Back to top
Q:
Do you sell your floor plans?
A:
Our floor plans are not for sale; they have been developed after years of preparation and discovery about how people live in and use their home. In addition, every home site has particular characteristics and soil conditions that require engineering and attention to detail, affecting the suitability of a floor plan to the site itself. Q:
What is a bonus room?
A:
It is an "optional" room that may be added to the floor plan, usually upstairs, where a family can have a media room, work out facility, or an additional all around gathering room. Back to top
Q:
Why do you offer only certain floor plans in one community and not in another?
A:
Most "Master Planned Communities" are governed by the developer. We have to meet certain guidelines and therefore are limited in our decisions. Back to top
Q:
Are garages included in the square footage given?
A:
We do not include garage space in our square footages.

Q:
Could you tell me the advantage of "Hardiplank" versus real wood?
A:
Hardiplank is used in many communities for exterior siding and exterior wood trim. It combines the look and warmth of natural wood with the durability of fiber-cement. Hardiplank resists damage from humidity, rain, snow, salt air and termites. You may not have to paint as often as you would with wood. Back to top
