What You See is What You Get

Often underestimated, sight lines have a huge impact on the feel of a home. Simply put, sight lines are what you see from any given point, sitting or standing. Open the front door and what do you see? A wall? Or does the view include lush landscaping framed by expansive windows in the Family Room at the rear of the home?

Sight lines can make a small home feel larger. Stand at the kitchen island and look around. Good sight lines take in the breakfast nook windows, the Family Room fireplace and sidelight windows in the foyer.

Obstruct sight lines with walls and narrow hallways and even a castle can feel claustrophobic.
