Before moving in think about moving through your home. Here are some important things to consider before getting lost in a home with poor traffic patterns:

Goodbye hallways. Hello open spaces.

Hallways waste valuable space
Using rooms instead of hallways makes the home feel larger
Hallways interfere with sight lines

The best floorplans are poetry in motion

Avoid plans that require meandering through furniture
Keep entrances and exits on the same side of rooms for efficient flow
Stairs should be oriented to kitchens and Family Rooms - not entries
Allow for multiple approaches to the kitchen for good circulation
