Soil Testing

Not all soils are created equal! Soil strength and quality are critical to building a strong foundation for any home. At David Weekley Homes, we know it’s critical to give your homesite a valid soil test and inspection prior to building your dream home.

Land Survey

Surveying is the art and science of measuring, marking, recovering and mapping the relative positions or locations of terrain features and real property boundaries. A survey of your land is essential before the building process can begin. Through our Build on Your Lot program, we will conduct a professional survey of your land to determine property limits, as well as where the house, garage and other features will be located. Think of it as a blueprint confirmation! This service is available upon request for an additional fee.

Tree Survey

A tree survey is performed with the goal of providing useful information about the existing trees on your property. Items such as the species, physical measurement, ages, overall health and life expectancy of the trees are examined. Information like this helps our experts make informed decisions on about which trees we can keep, and which ones are potential problems. This is just another way we improve your homesite! This service is available upon request for an additional fee.

Existing Structure Demolition

Is an old structure or house getting in the way of your dream home? David Weekley Homes Build on Your Lot program offers demolition services of an existing structure. From securing the necessary permits to debris removal, we will pave the way to begin building the home of your dreams!

HVAC Design

Depending on your situation, area and needs, we offer heating systems that run on either gas or electric. Our Build on Your Lot designers have the answers to those questions, they are experts in equipping your home with the right unit.

Fixed Pricing at Construction Start

At David Weekley Homes, with fixed pricing from the start there is never any question about how much you will pay to close on your new home. We explain the total cost of your home, eliminating any unforeseen financial surprises!

Preferred Lender

Our partnership with American Priority Mortgage ensures us that our Homeowners are receiving the best service and advice when it comes to their home financing needs. Their purpose is to make the transition into your new home as smooth as possible. American Priority Mortgage offers complete mortgage lending ervices and a wide variety of loans. A seasoned Loan Officer will work closely with you to determine the best financing options for your specific situation. They will guide you through the entire process, from initial application until the closing of your home.

At David Weekley Homes, we not only allow you to work with your builder, we encourage it! Building a new home can be a daunting task. Fortunately, you’ve chosen the best of the best to build your dream home. Our Personal Builder^SM program gives you one-on-one contact directly with the person responsible for building your home. Depending on the construction stage of your Build on Your Lot home, you’ll meet up to four times with your Personal Builder: at foundation, framing, drywall and final walk-through. After all, if you have questions about your home, who better to answer them than your builder? We strive to make your homebuilding experience as painless as possible. We’re not satisfied until you’re satisfied.

Just click on the progress timeline! Curious what it looks like before drywall goes up? There are photos posted on your page taken throughout the construction process! We give you the ability to access valuable information about your new home at any time, anywhere you have an Internet connection.

Inspections

During construction of your home a David Weekley Personal Builder oversees all work performed. Our construction professionals inspect the construction and quality of your home. Inspections are conducted at different stages by the jurisdiction in which the home is built. Your home must pass each inspection before construction can continue. Our energy-efficient Green Homes undergo additional inspections, specifically designed and monitored by Environments For Living® to ensure that your new home meets the Gold or Platinum level, depending on your floor plan and location.

Utility Hookups

We call it a turn-key home! One of the great things about building a home through David Weekley’s Build on Your Lot program is that we take care of everything for you – from land surveys to your utility hookups. Rest assured that when the moving trucks leave and furniture is in place that the TV will turn on and your shower will be ready!

Landscaping

Creating a home that has breathtaking curb appeal is extremely important to us! How else are the Joneses supposed to know who to keep up with? That’s why building a beautiful home is only half of the battle; we think it is important to accent your new home with flowers, bushes, trees and perhaps even a water feature, like a fountain, to enhance your home’s beauty.

Plat of New Home on Property

We want you to have all of the information about your plat of land, so we provide each and every new David Weekley Homeowner with a home location survey plat. In addition to understanding where your home will be placed on your land, this survey is required for many zoning approvals, and shows all property lines and existing structures on your land drawn to-scale.

Swift Construction and Delivery

We build our homes in stages, and make sure as the Homeowner, you know exactly where we are within each stage. This keeps you informed about the construction of your new custom home, and ensures we deliver in a timely manner, as promised. Tools such as a Personal Builder and MyDWHome.com allow you to “check in” on the building process at anytime.

In-house Warranty Service

At David Weekley Homes, we know having questions answered about your new home after the dust has settled is the most important stage of our relationship. We realize if you can’t depend on us to stand behind our work, we’ll never have another opportunity to work with you. That’s why we’ve dedicated an entire department to our industry-leading, multi-level, in-house warranty program. During the first year you’re covered by our one-year limited warranty, plus the appliance manufacturers’ warranties. Our two-year mechanical systems warranty covers inside-the-wall plumbing, electrical, central air conditioning and heating systems. And for those items outside the scope of your Homeowner Portfolio, we have a skilled team of Warranty Service Representatives standing by to help you resolve any construction or maintenance issues that might arise.
