Indianapolis, IN (May 16, 2017): The nation’s largest privately-held home builder celebrated more than 40 years of Building Dreams, Enhancing Livesby hosting David Weekley Homes World’s Largest Showcase of Homes. From April 1-30, more than 9,100 visitors stopped by model or showcase homes across the country to see current innovations in design and décor trends.

As part of the company’s charitable and philanthropic efforts, a $5 donation was given to a local nonprofit organization for each visitor who registered with a sales consultant during David Weekley Homes World’s Largest Showcase of Homes, amounting to more than $45,000 for 18 local charities. In Indianapolis, nearly $1,900 was donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana.

"We are so grateful to the team at David Weekley Homes for their generous donation and commitment to our families,” said Michelle Study-Campbell, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana. “It is only through the support of our community that we are able to roll out the welcome mat 365 days a year and keep families close when it matters most."

The monetary gifts are an initiative of the company’s CARE program that joins team members with homeowners, homebuyers, community partners and local nonprofit organizations to live out its purpose, Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives in all the communities in which it builds. This is accomplished by team members volunteering countless hours to different organizations in their communities and by The David Weekley Family Foundation donating more than $100 million to a variety of organizations throughout the U.S. and abroad over the past 20 years.

“After touring the Ronald McDonald House with fellow co-workers and seeing first-hand the facilities offered to families in need, I could not help but feel a sense of pride to able to work for a company such as David Weekley Homes,” said Kent M. Claton, a David Weekley Homes team member in Indianapolis. “It is very satisfying to know that the monetary gifts we give to local organizations truly do make a difference in people's lives.”
