by David Weekley Homes

David Weekley Homes, the third largest, private Home Builder in the nation, announces the company’s expansion into Phoenix, Arizona. Development will begin at the 24,000 acre resort-style master-planned, gated community of Estrella Mountain Ranch, which includes impressive amenities such as a Nicklaus Design signature golf course, two beautiful lakes and oversized homesites looking at the breathtaking Estrella Sierra Mountains.

"The Estrella Mountain Ranch community will act as a springboard for us in Phoenix,” said Jim Rado, Area President for David Weekley Homes. “The long-term prospects for Phoenix and the western states are a natural extension of our geographic diversification strategy. David Weekley Homes has been working on this expansion off and on since 1999, so the decision to enter the market has been thoughtfully and carefully planned. It is the realization of this long-term goal that has us all so excited.”

Heading up the Phoenix operations for David Weekley Homes will be Mark Weber. Weber has more than 12 years experience in the homebuilding industry. He began his construction career with Jackson Properties. Weber has held such prestigious titles as Chief Financial Officer for Fulton Homes and Vice President of Ryland Homes. He most recently held the position of Division President for Montalbano Homes where he grew his division by 40 percent in 2005. When asked about moving into the Phoenix market, Weber said, “We are excited to introduce David Weekley Homes to the Phoenix market and show the product designs and exceptional Customer Service that have become trademarks of the company and have allowed us to enhance the lives of over 40,000 families since 1976.”

For the past 30 years, David Weekley Homes has led the industry with a unique formula for creating Innovative Design, called LifeDesignSM. LifeDesign is the perfect blend of form and function. You see it in their classic exteriors and nostalgic front porches. You’ll appreciate it in their efficient use of space and rooms designed with furniture placement in mind.

LifeDesignSM gives a Weekley home its feeling of strength and livability. As the heart of the home, kitchens are designed to flow into family rooms. Soaring ceilings, expansive windows, and refined architectural details enhance the grandeur of each design. LifeDesignSMblends the fundamentals of design, architecture, engineering, physics, psychology and sociology to create a home that looks better—and lives better—than all the rest.
