Phoenix, AZ (July 1, 2015): Team members from T.W. Lewis by David Weekley Homes partnered with Feed My Starving Children to pack more than 24,500 prepared meals to help the volunteer organization feed 67 malnourished children from around the world for one year.
The more than 40 team members broke up into six groups to hand pack the meals into 114 boxes while measuring out the appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals, rice and soy into each package. Founded in 1987, Feed My Starving Children’s goal is to end starvation in children throughout the world through volunteer efforts.
As part of its culture, David Weekley Homes strives to make a positive impact in the lives of everyone it touches and in all the communities it builds through its purpose, Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives. This is accomplished by company team members volunteering countless hours to different organizations in their communities, and by the Weekley Family Foundation donating more than $100 million to a variety of organizations through the U.S. and abroad since 1976.
