One of the ways David Weekley Homes has celebrated its 40th anniversary this year is by hosting the World’s Largest Parade of Homes. During the month of April, more than 7,200 visitors stopped by our model or Showcase Homes in cities across the country to see current innovations in design and décor trends.
As part of the philanthropic and charitable efforts of our CARE program, 19 organizations received donations in honor of this milestone. A $5 donation was given to a local nonprofit organization for each visitor who registered with a Sales Consultant during David Weekley Homes World’s Largest Parade of Homes, amounting to more than $36,000 for 19 charities.
In addition to supporting these local organizations, we also gave away several prizes in each city, including the grand prize of a $2,000 electronics package to visitors, as well as a special Real Estate Agent prize of a smart watch in 19 of our markets.
The monetary gifts are an initiative of the company’s CARE program that joins Team Members with Homeowners, Homebuyers, community partners and nonprofit organizations to live out its purpose, Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives, in all the communities in which it builds. This is accomplished by Team Members volunteering countless hours with different organizations in their communities and by The David Weekley Family Foundation donating more than $100 million to a variety of organizations throughout the U.S. and abroad over the past 20 years.
Several cities are currently offering special incentives to celebrate our 40th anniversary and as a thank you for visiting the David Weekley Homes World’s Largest Parade of Homes, helping us to make a difference in the communities where we live and build.
