Your Personal BuilderSM and Design Consultant will work closely with you to make needed modifications within your new home based on one’s individual requirements and physical needs.

Accessibility Option Home Design modifications in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area may include:

  • Sloped concrete at exterior doors
  • 3' wide exterior doors with low “roll-over” thresholds
  • Roll-in Shower Option at the Owner’s Retreat Bath (see Example Layouts – pdf)
    • Tub is deleted
    • Tiled floor will be sloped
    • Grab bars installed at Buyer’s discretion
  • Widen the Owner’s Retreat door to 3-0
  • Widen the Owner’s Retreat Bath door to 3-0 (if applicable)
  • Modify the Owner’s Retreat Water-closet area to accommodate wheelchair access
