Almost anyone can qualify The $8,000 first-time Homebuyer Tax Credit has been extended, and is now available to individuals with an income up to $125,000 and to couples with an income up to $225,000.
Additionally, a new $6,500 Tax Credit is now available to move-up Homebuyers who have lived in their current residence for five of the prior eight years.
Available for a limited time This temporary Tax Credit is available for Homebuyers who purchase a home by April 30, 2010, and close on or before June 30, 2010.
For the troops Members of the military on active duty outside the United States for at least 90 days between Jan 1, 2009, and April 30, 2010, may receive the Tax Credit. The deadline has been extended for an extra year, giving you until April 30, 2011 to purchase your new home, and until June 30, 2011 to close on it!
It’s yours to keep When you receive your tax credit, you don’t have to pay it back.
