I’ve felt valued, I felt like the entire process was honest, cared for and also so much fun! My builder rep, Deb Holzmeister was an absolute gem! She communicated, we never felt out of the loop, and you can see how much she cares for her clients but also for David Weekley! She was positive the entire process and her energy along the process was contagious! Paul Olsen, our builder was also fantastic to work with! His energy was also contagious! He never settled. He makes it a point to make sure you’re satisfied! Another person who deserves recognition is the warranty rep, Gerald! He too was great to work with! The entire David Weekley staff that we encountered was phenomenal. The house is the cherry on top! Very well thought out floorplans! And quality builds!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just amazing! From beginning till the 14 month end both Brenda and Jim were on it and never ever gave us reason for concern. They have become like family since we watched the progress of the house and would see them through many, many, many weeks. Even when my husband and I could have ripped our head out at times because of the wait, they were there to put us at ease. The home build was just unbelievably built and they made accommodations for extra plumbing etc. I thought my experience with Cal Atlantic was great. There is no comparison. The David Weekly home is at the top as far as we are concerned. I would tell anyone to buy a home from you! Well done! And the pictures they took time to take was a great touch and give us excitement.

Our new home was built for us while we were living in a different state. The sales consultant and personal builder called us every week to let us know what was happening with the house and the next steps that were to be completed. They sent us pictures of the house showing the progress so we could see it and remotely stay connected to the process. The personal builder was very detailed on making sure everything was done correctly. We would highly recommend David Weekly to anyone.

David Weekley homes could have done a better job with estimating a completion date. They would not give any ballpark dates to me for the completion of the home until they were able to issue a closing letter (they did give a neighbor a ballpark date).

Although we waited longer than is typical for our house to be built, they were upfront regarding construction delays and the house was completed according to the timeline we were given. The whole process was seamless. We are in love with our house!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So far, a mixed bag So far, a very mixed bag. A lot of overpromising and underdelivering. We appriciate that there are things in the economy that impact the builders. If we hear supply chain or China one more time from the builder, we might jump. It is the responsiblity of the builder to manage expectations. We have been misled thru out the process about stages of work being done and our closing was almost two months after they originally promised. Upon closing, there were still 5 or six major items that had still not been completed.

Words cannot express how phenomenal he was with ensuring our home was built with quality! He is one of the most authentic, sincere and hard working person I’ve ever made. He was on top of the entire process and delivered everything with excellence. Jody was also an amazing entry point and would not be in our home without her! She was patient and kept us engaged through the long journey of waiting for the community to open! She was kind and reassuring. Cierra was an exceptional designer and helped us customize our home to our preferences. She took time to understand our needs and helped guide us. Dale was kind and greatly appreciate him setting us up for a home dedication and delivering a signed soccer ball which is my son's favorite sport! Very personalized and meant a lot to my family. The dissatisfaction of our service was all centered around the project manager. I felt bad for the staff named above because feel like they experienced the brunt of the ineffective, unorganized, and lack of customer centric decisions. There was a delay establishing the community and DW was the last builder. They wasted money with a trailer to get appointments and never used it. The project manager cost thousands of dollars by poor decisions. The prices also increased after we were given the info before our signing with no heads up. We blame this on the poor project management. DW was the only builder building 10 qmi homes prior to new builds which caused major delays. Once again, the project manager didn’t have care for the first people signing on their home which made us feel like we didn’t matter. There was a lack of transparency by the project manager which is currently still being felt by the delay of windows. I

The process was smooth and everyone was so quick given a very tight timeline. They made our home feel like ours the moment we chose to move forward with it.

I was expecting excellent as other reviewers were very happy and also visiting other DWH models across the country. The reason I only rated them good is mostly do to the little things that weren't complete by the time we moved in. Trim work selected was a darker color than the wall yet multiple places had either the wall paint or the trim paint on each other. The cabinets had self closures and not all of them worked. Not all outlets worked on the exterior, laundry door does not close and the big one, fireplace brink was not set correctly. All of this they say they will gladly fix but just the fact that they did not do it right the first time, workers have to return, etc. I expect more from a builder of this caliber. Disappointing.

The portal that you receive access to is really helpful that way. The information book that you receive is very informative - almost too much information! We have built a home before and did not receive anything even close to that - it was truly appreciated. The staff that we dealt with were so friendly and continue to be so....they are constantly reaching out and helping me with things even after we have moved in. From the sales personnel to the construction managers, it has been an awesome experience. I look forward to many happy years in Northpointe!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I expected from a top end builder From the beginning, the construction coordinator made excuses. Cold joint voids in the foundation stem walls were "no big deal" and would be filled with epoxy, nailing of the rood joist support structure and roof decking was very sub par with over a dozen nails driven through the decking that missed the 2x4 structure below. Roof decking was left exposed for several months before the roof tile was installed and soffit decking was weathered and delaminating. Several Punch list items remain after three weeks post closing including a whole in the wall from the pool equipment where the electrical was put through above the gas stub, cabinet doors and drawer fronts that are cracked and split. Touch up kit was three 5 gallon buckets of paint with paint spilled over the labels left in the garage, window screen was damage, noted on the punch list but not repaired, window latches loose and on punch list and not repaired. Closing was delayed twice, waiting for the pool to be completed, but many of the punch list items were promised to be completed so we would not have to push the closing a third time and once closed, nothing has happened. Waited 16 months month for this home to complete and the quality fell well short of the expectations.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The ends do NOT justify the means First off, my home is beautiful, thank you Colin Hallihan. The process was a nightmare. We were lied to continuously thru the process. The breaking point was the cabinets were never ordered, the Salesperson Brenda wanted to make it up to us. So instead of a 30 day completion notice, she was going to give us a 60 day notice. Little did I know her intent was to tell us 60 days, 30 days out. She said we would just have to wait longer for the home. So rude and inconsiderate. When my husband was upset and wanted her to admit that she is lying, she hangs up on him. He tells her he is frustrated as it doesn't feel she is watching our best interest and she says "she's not" she works for the Builder, not the client. I do love my home, but I wouldn't work with Brenda again if you paid me to do so, she dosen't care about you, the buyer. They ended up completing my home 2 months overdue and it had nothing to do with Covid , it was due to people not doing their jobs and using this crazy world as an excuse to not be responsible. It was quite expensive for the delay and no one cared. David Weekley told me they were as unhappy about the delay/cabinets as I was, let me assure you, they were not! If not for Colin, my home would likely still not be completed. So if you expect to be treated like you are buying a premium home, dont hold your breath! But the home is amazing, just know the process is awful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My Review for Sierra at Alamar My home building experience was not good, I watch this build daily and notice the following: 1. Sub contractors work was never checked after work completion which created lots of call backs to redo and created city inspection issues and delays. 2. There were many features available but every feature cost more money and some are required because the standard materials being used was unacceptable. 3. There are still issues after occupancy that is still not fixed, I think of it as the used car salesman syndrome. 4. Buyer beware of short cuts, you need to check everything before you sign off on occupancy including the $2 LED lights from you know where, attic insulation, paint, windows and doors (including sliders) this is very important. 5. Overall service on this build needs work from the very top down.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My Review for Sierra at Alamar My home building experience was not good, I watch this build daily and notice the following: 1. Sub contractors work was never checked after work completion which created lots of call backs to redo and created city inspection issues and delays. 2. There were many features available but every feature cost more money and some are required because the standard materials being used was unacceptable. 3. There are still issues after occupancy that is still not fixed, I think of it as the used car salesman syndrome. 4. Buyer beware of short cuts, you need to check everything before you sign off on occupancy including the $2 LED lights from you know where, attic insulation, paint, windows and doors (including sliders) this is very important. 5. Overall service on this build needs work from the very top down.
