The sales agent, Kim, did an excellent job in helping us through the process by keeping an eye on the house during the process as we did not live nearby. Nicolette in the Design Center was invaluable in keeping the selection process organised. However, we only gave the review 4 stars as there were some issues (scratched master bathroom countertop, missing washing machine hoses and some missing plantation shudders)

The whole process was good, and we were very satisfied overall. The only issues I would address are the cleanliness of the home during the building process. I wish that things like tile/carpet/stairs would have been covered with something after being installed so dirt wouldn't have been ground into the grout or wood. it is still visible after being in the home. Also, the food and open drink containers (including beer bottles) being left over night/through the weekend to attract bugs and other critters was very discouraging to see (see photos).

Very professional and seriously aims to please
WE bought a model home and the team that took care of us couldn't have been better. We move in next week and Dina and her team seriously has defined what it means to go the extra mile. No request was too small, no detail was insignificant. She told us their aim was to delight us and that is exactly what they have been doing every day since we signed on the dotted line. From the quality of the craftmanship to the quality of the personal interactions, it has been 5++ stars all the way.

Home Sweet Home
Because of my husband's job we have had to move... a lot, so we have rented for the pass 11 years. Finally we are able to plant some roots and we could not be more excited to have it be here in Laureate Park. We looked at a lot of homes both existing and model homes. We knew he wanted a DW home because of the wonderful repetutation for quality and great customer service. But we did not have time to build from scratch. That is when our sales person told us about our beautiful spec house that faces the water. We are so happy with our house and excited to turn it into a home.

Very frustrating
The home is solid and well designed, but the custom design options had installation problems. And the punch list was not completed before closing [it still is not complete more than 2 months after closing]. The subcontractors fix one problem but create another. It is not only frustrating to us that jobs cannot be completed properly, but it must be problematic and costly for DWH also. John Wooden once said: "If you don't do something well the first time, when are you going to have time to do it over again?"

Great experience
From the beginning of our adventure to the final product we were made to feel we were a part of the entire process. We received weekly updates and I had many questions as we proceeded that were answered quickly. All of the team at Weekley Homes were very professional and compassionate as this can be a very trying time in anyones life. My thanks to our sales consultant who went above and beyond in every area as we had problems co-ordinating the closing on our old house and the time before our new house was built.

Meant to be!
My family and I relocated to the Orlando area in the summer of 2016 to be near our family. We had targeted Laureate Park as an area we wanted to move and toured a couple David Weekly spec homes. Unfortunately, we were not in the position to purchase right away and by the time we were the homes we toured were under contract.
Once we were in a position to buy we made offers on a several homes in Laureate Park but nothing worked out. I had been keeping in contact with David Weekly Homes in the event another spec home became available. During one visit we passed one of the spec homes which was now near completion. I lamented to wife that was the one that got away. Don't you know a couple days later Ramona (the David Weekly agent) called me and said that home had become available again, and did we want it?
My wife went out there that morning and said "this is the one". I went out to the house that evening (Ramona was kind enough to stay late to accommodate my schedule) and we started the purchase process right then.
Less than a month later, we closed on our new home. Remember the homes that I mentioned we made offers on? After we closed on our home, the prices were reduced to about what we had offered. So I think it is safe to say that the universe was trying to tell me and my wife, that home we are in is the one we were meant to be in. And believe me, we are truly appreciative.

Beautiful Home, Some Delays
The whole building experience is overwhelming, however the David Weekley team was with us the whole way. There were items that were incorrect or delayed so it was up to us to stay on top of them, contacting our sales consultant often. Our sales consultant was very attentive and always made sure to get back to us. Our builder was a little harder to get a hold of, but when we got his attention he did his best to correct any issues. The quality of the material of the home is fantastic, however some of the workmanship requires a second look. While nothing is ever perfect, it is up to the buyer to ensure that things are done the way it was planned and envisioned. So far the warranty service is not as responsive as we had expected. In less than 2 months, we have found several minor and most recently a major issue, however we have not received a response in several weeks and none of those issues have been resolved. This process requires a diligent buyer who is willing to send out reminders for items to be resolved.
