I’m really glad we went with David Weekley, which was a semi-custom process. I can’t imagine how much of a pain a custom build would be. We had an open communication stream with our builder and we were kept up to date with progress. I recommend that the buyers be involved and visit the job site at least weekly. We found some mistakes in the process, but the builder was quick to address the issues and get the contractors to correct the items.

They contacted us every week to let us know the status of the build and added photos which was very helpful. We didn't have very good luck with the website related to picking out items for the house, but the Designer at the Design Center was very good and helped us make good choices.

Like most companies, they have a published and well advertised mantra for serving their customers. The DW difference is that their staff has lived it, through each step of the way, a very comforting approach to whether we were having our needs met. But they didn't adhere to the timeline, and so I took a star away from the review. The warranty team is pretty average too, not a lot of respoect for people's time. I would highly recommend both Yolanda and Alysha though. They are great people and fun to work with!

Our field rep, Hector Saldana, is the person responsible for making this go so well. He communicates, he never gets defensive. We had a couple of serious errors that were corrected as a quality company like Weekley would do. The weekly meetings with Hector went a long way to head off issues. There were numerous quality reviews that happened toward the end of the build. The one by a manager blew me away, he found some hard to see scratches in the glass of one exterior window. I know it's a problem that is hard to deal with, that is with the contractors who want to rush through the job, leaving defects that they have to come back to fix. That costs time and money, and headaches for the field supervisors like Hector.

Our builder, David Key, was quick to respond and make sure the quality was delivered. When we moved in early thanks to our sales person, Brian, understanding our needs, that weekend when we needed support, his sales associate, Nuria, was extremely helpful. You take pride in your homes and we absolutely love our new house. Thank you.

Angie Greer did an outstanding job at keeping us informed and helped to fast track our purchase. We had our home inspected by a private inspector and the builder promptly dealt with any concerns.
