Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Homeowners The word that best describes the entire process of buying and building our David Weekley home is - professional. The sales staff was always available to answer question, the design staff helped us pull together a plan that fit both our style and budget and the builder always made sure our ultimate satisfaction was his priority. There are always challenges that arise when building a home and in our case each challenge and promise was met. Even after closing the entire David Weekley staff has been their for us. Overall, we're very happy homeowners!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from David Weekley Home I had my home built during the year 2022 and moved in December. During the whole process the salesperson and builder were in contact with me weekly keeping me informed of the progress. They were always available for questions and responded quickly whenever I contacted them. There were never any unwanted surprises and the home was ready for closing exactly when I was told it would be. Thank you so much for a great experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from DW home purchase The DW staff is excellent, and very responsive when possible. But I did not get the house/yard that I was promised when I purchased. Very disappointed and heartbroken in the way the yard was landscaped and designed for my lifelong home. There was miscommunication on how much property I would have and its layout. In hindsight, I also wish I had walked thru a completed house before purchasing one of these models

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First time new build purchase For the most part, the 16 months it took to build my home was a good experience. My builder is great, my realtor was great, the house is nice. I do not like the small toilet room In the master bath and I do not love the small driveway. Its tough to get in and out although I am getting used to it. Not loving living in a construction zone but that’s temporary?? All in all, very nice home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Way Too long and Painful / Poor QualityWorkmanship After having signed our contract in March of 2021 we were told the house would be ready by September, October of 21. Worse case December of 21. After 4 missed closing dates in 2022, There were way too many mistakes and reworks in the entire building process which we found extremely frustrating. The quality of work from the sub contractors was well below par. Broken cabinets, and numerous broken drawer slides had to be replaced.. Along the building process, after the hardwood floors were installed in April, someone came in and removed ALL the protective coverings. Many contractors were still working in the house at that time, and were working directly on the brand new hardwood floors. We now have many areas with paint in the wood grain as well as scratches and 2 pretty significant gouges. We finally closed on our home in June of 22,and finally moved in with many issues still not resolved. 3 weeks later we are still working with the builder to complete open items and other issues. items

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Glenhaven at Ridgewalk I would have loved to have seen the model homes before I started to build. It is quite different seeing it on paper. I would not have chosen the house that was built if I saw the model homes first. I am not quite happy with the workmanship maybe because the supervision of the workers was lacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Walker Avenue When we found Ashbury, we were told that next available lots were months out, but that there may be a couple of existing lots re-opening. One lot did and we were given the opportunity to purchase. We did and have been very happy with the experience - in spite of delays caused by today's supply chain environment. The community sales rep and construction manager were always courteous, helpful and open to suggestions within the restrictions of this community. The experience was easy, and the end result has been wonderful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved working with David Weekley Homes I do not even know where to begin. David Weekley is an amazing organization with amazing people. Our builder Chris is beyond exceptional, he cares for the quality of our home more than we do and that says a lot. We are first time home owners and David Weekley has made this experience phenomenal! Chris is so kind and attentive, and he just takes so much pride in his work. He thoroughly explained everything about our new home, gave us his cell phone number and when he said contact me with whatever I'm here to help, he definitely meant it. My experience with Savannah and Stephan the realtors are amazing! Great response time, and customer service is superb. I can't say enough about this company and the people that work for them, but we are VERY happy in our new home!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Your choices but DWH's parameters You can safely put yourself in the hands of David Weekley Homes. Since living in Japan 20 years ago, we had time to research builders and loved the story of "David Weekley," Now as retirees, we were finally in a position to buy one of their houses. In the building process, you may get a few "noes" - we did, but if you can work within the parameters of the community they're building, then you will succeed. Sometimes the local municipalities place restrictions on the developer that they have to meet; other times, practicalities, like timescales - so that they can offer amenities at a certain price point. The location of Glenhaven at Ridgewalk for us, trumped the location of the other David Weekley community that could fulfill our desires a little bit better (e.g., more spacious garage). So... knowing what is a priority for you and where you want to compromise is very important . Patience also will be a paramount for any buyer in our current Covid era of supply issues and worker shortages. All of that will be an issue for any builder but maybe a little less so for DWH due to their relationships with contractors built up over the years. Having said that, we have had issues after we have moved in; the shower floor oriented water out onto bathroom floor, the front door lock wouldn't work correctly and a ceiling fan wouldn't work at all. It is difficult to catch all the issues a brand new house has until you move in and live with them. David Weekley's sales, design, building and warranty staff are dynamic and capable. There was never a time when they didn't help us remedy a situation. This is our first experience with a brand new community but believe it will be a rewarding one. Considering the issues of this Covid period, would rate them 4.5 out of 5.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pandemic House Disaster Let me first start off by saying that I understand that these are unprecedented times due to pandemic. However, my experience with David Weekley has been appalling. In 03/2021, my husband and I decided to purchase our first home from DW, and we were under the impression that our house would be completed in 10/2021. Our house is still not complete to this day. Over the last 10 months, we have experienced 1) Builder using the wrong plans for our house and leaving out an entire tub, door, and fireplace 2) Subcontractors consistently not showing up to the point where we had to reschedule our closing 3 times 3) Weekly meetings builder and builder's realtor being unproductive and occurring 2-4 hours past our scheduled time and meeting consisted of builder trying to figure out what was going on with our house in real time. 4) Having to consistently ask subcontractors to come back because initial work was unacceptable 5) Plumbing taking over 6 weeks to finish plumbing and causing our closing to be delayed. It took so long for the plumbers to come that I literally had to beg the owner of the plumbing company to send someone out. 6) Cleaner flooding bathroom and scratching up brand new sink. House not actually being clean when handed over to us. 7) Giving builder an additional week to complete work because we did not feel comfortable moving in with the state that the house with in and then coming on the day of our closing to builder and subcontractors scrambling to get work done 8) Gate still missing from our property to this day due to a construction delays with the house next to us 9) We are still dealing with a list of items that are unfinished and are now having to negotiate with subcontractors ourselves. 10) Builder's realtor disappearing after closing even though we were told that we would still be getting weekly updates until our house was completed 12) Routinely begging for updates and having information regarding issues withheld from us 3) Routinely fighting with builder and realtor to meet my bare minimum expectations and 13) Watching other owners literally have a red carpet rolled out for them and gifts, while we were given a card and a gift card. I follow DW on Instagram, so I had certain expectations of what the closing day would be like. All in all, this was not the experience I expected from a luxury builder, and I am very disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Downsizing in Style Our son lives in a David Weekley home, and we were pretty sure that one of their 55+ communities would work for us. We sold our home in Virginia in six days for over asking price. We needed a place very quickly. We were fortunate to find a model close to completion in Glenhaven at Ridgewalk. Our sales associate made us feel so welcome and kept us up to date and in the loop as the house was finished.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed in quality control level Our experience STARTED well; we loved the location and floor plans offered, and we were able to select a floor plan and options that suited our needs. Our sales person and personal builder were extremely helpful, flexible, and eager to work with us. However, by the time our home was close to completion, we were already disappointed. We were seeing several quality control issues, but were assured that all would be taken care of by the time the home was finished and before closing. Unfortunately, not only were many issues still not addressed by closing, we actually moved in six weeks ago and there is still a long list of items that have not yet been fixed. We have been assured repeatedly that everything will be taken care of, but it seems to be taking far longer than seems reasonable to us. Also, for a home at this price point, we had expected much more attention to detail and far better quality control. There are multiple places where the trim work is either incomplete or uneven, and the quality of the paint job throughout the house is extremely disappointing to us. It's a brand new home, but we have squeaky hinges, a "ghost" door, a loose tread on the stairs, and two days ago the main water service into our home failed and we were forced to stay in a hotel. We understand that there are occasionally issues that arise in a new home, but the number of issues in this home simply seems unacceptable in our opinion, and seems to indicate insufficient quality control. I would definitely NOT recommend a Daivid Weekley home to a friend or family member. At this point we are simply hoping we can get most of the problems taken care of in the relatively near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Survey House was finished when we located it. While we didn’t have any input in the design, etc. it fit our needs and timeline.
