We had already put the deposit down for an apartment, but with the interest rates so low we could not pass up on an opportunity to buy a home of our own. The entire team at DWH guided us through this new and exciting process every step of the way. Our first interaction with DWH was with the internet advisor Ask Angie. Angie was very personable, directing us to communities that best fit our needs and budget. Lauren Cook was fantastic at explaining the home building process and highlighted certain things DWH did to set them above their competition. Eric Price was extremely quick to respond to any questions we had about our home. Rumor has it he was sweeping off the roof the day before our walkthrough so one could say he definitely went above and beyond! Overall it was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend David Weekley Homes to anyone looking for a new home.

Lack of variety in selections. All were pretty standard and sometimes dated or not even available. What we were told was standard or an option up front was in fact not standard or not an option. Disappointed in overall details, ok experience, neutral on whether I'd go with David Weekley again or not.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lack of Attention to Detail You must stay on top of the construction process or the contractors would bury items or jury rig a fix. I had to constantly have items redone as I watched to see if the building super would have things corrected without me saying something. Only happened a couple of times. I can only imagined what would have been covered up without me going to the job site multiple times a week. There is no focus on detail. I would say at least 60% of the trim inside the house had to be reworked and even after they reworked it, sometimes 2 or 3 times, I gave up and finished it myself. I ended up repairing and painting 23-30% of the inside trim. Trim is one example of attention to detail. There are many items that have had to be reworked due to lack of detail. Part of the issue is the quality of the materials that are being used. The contractors have to continue to rework items due to the materials. If higher quality materials were used, the repair and repeat process would be less. Make sure everything is in writing before you start. Just because other houses or the model has something or is built one way does not mean that your house will be. So make sure there is a clear understanding of what your expectations are before you sign. Overall, the house is nice and overall structure is good. We have just had many small issue related to detail. Also still waiting on the final punch list to be completed after 5 months of living in the house. We have followed up several times and get no response from our builder.

The quality and value speak for itself and furthermore, rivals that of any other builders in the market. But more than that, it's DWH's approach to customer experience, customer service, and customer satisfaction that really separate them from anything else out there. They go above and beyond and truly partner with you in the build process. They pride themselves in making things right, meeting your expectations, and even going above and beyond. One reason this happens is because they empower their people to make good on these values. Our Sales Consultant, Lauren Cook; Builder Eric Price; and, Design Consultant, Kim Cantou, were fantastic. They were communicative, accommodating, responsive, trustworthy, and helpful throughout the process. As our home was being constructed, worked primarily with Eric Price and Lauren Cook and leaned on them heavily. We love our home and the service that Eric and Lauren provided are a big reason why. Whatever they're being paid, it isn't enough. Ultimately, we're settled in our new home now, loving the neighborhood, and just so pleased with the walls around us.

They were awesome. I appreciate their communications especially with the challenges they faced in Covid world. I also am very happy with my new home with one exception. I moved in the first part of June and still do not have internet service. I have been told by both Comcast and ATT that conduit should been run under the alley as other builders do. Now I am waiting for the cable to be run with no idea when I can access internet.

Crissy did not (and has not) missed a beat. She found items that may have been overlooked initially, communicated to us the issue at hand, and followed thru to completion. Charlie was terrific and we had high expectations...there was never a "no, we can't"...It was always a "let me see what I can do." And he never disappointed. Also a special shout out to Kim Cantou in the Design Center as she came up with some great ideas in fixtures and design. She was very instrumental in the look of our home. Do not look at these 3 as David Weekley employees, we look at them as great friends! They literally rolled out the red carpet!

Our sales person was just excellent and stayed with us through the whole process whether it was her day off or not. She was knowledgeable, efficient, proactive, personable, and helped with many suggestions. I would hire her for any business that I would run. Our construction manager was excellent as well. He helped us a lot through the process. They, together, called us weekly and communicated any issues back and forth including pictures and videos. This is significant because we were in Florida And our house was being built in Carmel, IN. The checks and balances in the process were well thought out and adhered to. The house was completed before schedule dare and we love the house.

The experience could not have been more delightful. We always told each other we would never build a home because we had heard there was so much stress involved. But when Katie Jordan showed us the perfect home under construction we were hooked. To say this experience exceeded our expectations is an understatement. Rather, the experience greatly exceeded our expectations. From the largest to smallest details, David Weekley Homes demonstrated it is one class organization. Katie Jordan was very nice to deal with. She always responded to our questions and was welcoming whenever we visited. Our builder, Michael Macintosh (“Mac”) was awesome. This guy is a superstar. He makes us want to immediately build another David Weekley (DW) home. Mac was always available when we needed him and consistently accommodated our specific requests when possible, and gave his expert recommendations when questioned; yet, he was respectfully firm in representing the Company when requests might be beyond what DW could offer. He was the consummate DW representative while being the ideal customer-oriented builder. Whenever the opportunity arises, we will extol the virtues of DW Homes to our friends and family – and even home-building strangers. Thanks for a great experience.

We really felt this would be a nice area to call home. Then Andrew, our building manager, was very happy to help us add some small details to the build out. We were surprised that they called every week to keep us informed of the progress. We really felt well taken care of and look forward to living in our beautiful home for a long time.

An area of improvement is when there are deviations from the status quo (i.e. windows placement, landscape), improve follow-up, assure work done the first time is correct, and follow-up.

The team was excellent, emphasized communication, and provided a concise checklist enabling our time to be used efficiently. An area of improvement is when there are deviations from the status quo (i.e. windows placement, landscape), improve follow-up, assure work done the first time is correct, and follow-up.

They always kept me in the loop on any big events regarding the house and have made sure to follow up since moving.
