Lots of extra work and attention to details were spent to ensure the end product turns out as I expect. It was a good learning experience for me as the first-time home builder. In general, the house was well built. However, there are quite a few items that need to be fixed afterward which is really inconvenient for me. The wait time to have them fixed is quite extensive taking COVID-19 into consideration. This unnecessary wait time could be avoided if the contractors would have done a better job in the first place and a better-quality check was performed.

The process was very transparent and honest, that played a huge role as it gives you the confidence that your money is going to the right place. Every week there was an update so you can keep track on how things are going. Everything was on time and exactly how we wanted it to be. Thanks to the DW team, and specially to Jan and Erick. They went above and beyond. We love our new house!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It’s all glimmer at 1st but then …….. At first our experience was great the team was responsive and maybe a little too much. Calling all the time and giving us updates. But once the first review on the team was given (all 10s) they stopped caring about fixing any issues that were wrong with our home. One of the responses I got was “I no longer discuss your home with the construction guy since you are already closed” I’m almost 3 now that we closed and I still have cabinets with paint missing, a tile that is sunken and cutting our foot when we go in our bathroom, a broken folding table foot what was broken while One of their construction guys installed screens on our window, and as requested a second garage door opener and still no answer on any of this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving It, DWH! We heard of DWH from friends and family and by fate or luck, found that DWH was building in the area we were relocating to. The whole process was smooth. Our sales consultant and personal builder were awesome. They kept us updated on the whole process weekly since we were from out of state. Questions and issues that came up were addressed and fixed by our team. We appreciate that our home was finished on time even with the nation-wide construction shortages. We will be enjoying our home for years to come. Thank you DWH!

It just went so smooth and they were quick to respond to any issue that was brought up. They made our forever home just the way we wanted it. Would definitely buy another David Weekly Home.

But now that I the purchase is complete, I have been told that David Weekly will not fix cosmetic items such as buckle metal framing on drywall corners. So now I have visible lines running down my walls. I have stains on my concrete and was told to power wash it. I have stones coming out of my aggregate patio and am told that is normal. I had electrical outlets wired incorrectly. I have been in the home for less than two months and have nails popping out. I am told that I have to wait for my one year anniversary when they will come fix things like nail pops and cracks. If I have them come now, they won't come again in a year. I expected a beautiful, high quality home from David Weekley. I could have paid far less from another builder but I specifically chose DWH because of the quality of the model home I looked at. Clearly, there are NO cosmetic issues in the model. Every day I find workmanship issues which I am told I have to live with, fix myself, or pay another contractor to fix. Not at all what I had expected. Buyer beware.

Every step in the home buying process from Contract to building to closing we are impressed by the care taken by DW team. Whenever we had any questions, they never hesitated to answer and point us in the right direction. Just amazed by how much detail and effort they put in to make us happy. Throughout the build they stuck to their schedule which gave us confidence that our home would be built correctly and on time. We were contacted weekly during the build so we always knew what stage our house was in and they posted pictures so we could see the progress since we we living 2 1/2 hours away.

Things were requested by us and agreed upon by both parties at the preconstruction meeting, but we had to fight tooth and nail to get those things done the right way the first time. Poor attention to detail, lack of craftsmanship in some areas. Lack of communication between the customer and their needs and the construction process. Lack of consistency throughout.

We really like the Criswell floor plan, the energy-efficient components of the home, & we are enjoying many really nice features.  We were quite pleased with the whole process until after the closing, as the service & attention to follow-up have dropped off considerably since then. There are many non-warranty items that have not been completed which were on the builder's to-do list prior to closing; we don't have all the lights functioning & the finish work has been less than stellar. Yesterday, a friend asked if I'd recommend David Weekly homes; at this point, we're hesitant to do so, and I related to her our positive pre-closing & the less-than-positive post-closing experiences. The sales rep was wonderful and went far above and beyond our expectations--he has very little to do with the needed follow up, though. The builder was attentive and helpful pre-closing, but maybe there are just too many homes in process for him to be able to address the follow-up needs.  Hopefully, David Weekly corporate will address this possible systemic issue. It's our hope to recommend this builder in the future. We'll update as able.

We really liked open floor plan and layout, not to mention good size back yard, which is very difficult to find nowadays. We are in our silver years now and during construction we had many ideas about making this house our dream home. Fortunately David Weekley Homes made it possible for us to make changes to the plan, and we really glad that we did it. We’d like to mention people we were working with at David Weekley Homes: - Sales Consultant Liz Rossberg - Liz is a sweet and friendly person. She is easy to communicate with, has a good sense of humor, very responsive and honest. - Builder Dylan Miller-Moylan – Dylan is very professional and approachable. We were concerned about mounting big screen TV above fireplace. Dylan took the initiative and put wooden board behind the tile to provide the base for TV installation. Also we mentioned to him that we are going to put two big Pot Planters in front of the house, and Dylan by himself set up and leveled cement blocks for them. Now we constantly have compliments from our neighbors about these planters. We would like to continue good relationship with David Weekley Homes.

I will say that had I known the kitchen shelves would be build for a giant I would have arranged it differently. A stool will be my constant companion. The house is beautiful. The shelving, in some places are "real" and in other places they are pressboard. The windows are quality, as are the materials chosen - carpeting, flooring, fireplace stone, bathroom fixtures and faucets, tile.The house is open and airy. I have not fully moved in yet. I am sure I will be comfortable. I love the walls Dylan painted in the master bedroom. He is also great to work with.

From weekly calls from our builder and sales rep, to having all of our fears and concerns addressed absolutely immediately, David Weekley has devised procedures that make the stress of building a home, almost nonexistent. Not to mention the quality of materials and craftsmanship that have been put into our dream home is so much more than we could have ever imagined. This forever home was worth the time and money without a doubt!
