Rated 2 out of 5 by from Review of David Weekly Homes Though the home looks good outside, we have seen several concerns. 1. The walls between rooms are not sound proof. We can hear the shower water sound loud. We can listen what spoken in the next rooms 2. The Hot water plumbing in the Kitchen, 1/2 bath - the other areas are not done properly. When we open up the hot water tap in the Kitchen, it takes minimum 3-4 min and wastage of minimum 3-4 gallons of cold water every time, before we get the hot water. 3. A proper drainage system was not installed in the backyard and whenever rain comes, the whole area is flooded with water. French Drainage to be installed to avoid the water standing in the back yard 4. No provision of electrical outlets in the front and back of the house to install cameras. These are considered as upgrades. However, these are very common and that should be a part of design. With my request, the builder was able to extend a power line in the top of garage to install the camera. Thanks to him. 5. Though I have a big lot place, there is no provision of extending or building another rooms. The design is not that great for any expansion 6. No lights installed on the other part of Back yard and these are considered as upgrades. No provision provided and I was forced to install Solar lights

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HAPPY HOME OWNER Everyone from the beginning the sale person(Kristi Wells) all the way up to the Lenders(Marlene Hardgrave) guided us to the final sale. The construction guy (Charles) went over the house and fix all the problems that we pointed out. (Only thing we did find out something when we move in- the closet door interfer with the clothes to close the door.) (I think there should have not been a closet door ,the models have it open no door). But the house was well built and I feel comfortable with the construction.

My husband loved that it offered some privacy. We had an excellent experience with Jennifer in the sales office and builder Mike. Communication was excellent and even after closing any questions I have they have been there to help. Overall I love our new home and can’t wait for the memories

Our sales associate (Julie Stevenson) and builder (Shane Robinette) explained every step of the process and listened and responded to questions during the process. We received joint weekly phone updates explaining the progress of our home including items completed and items scheduled for the following week. They were both receptive of questions and provided answers/information. The building of our home was made easier because of Julie and Shane's experience and expertise in their respective roles. They were always available and returned calls, texts and emails immediately. Upon returning from the closing (Title Company), Shane and Julie presented us with our keys and welcomed us home with a red carpet treatment. David Weekley insures your happiness after closing by scheduling a meeting with your designated Warranty Manager assigned to your home. The first meeting was held at the home orientation and a second meeting was scheduled in our home to explain how to obtain services after moving in. Assistance was given for registering warranties for appliances and systems as well as reviewing the proper way to clean and maintain your home. Jessica Sobrino (our warranty manager) has been outstanding and made moving in much easier. Dunham Pointe is a new community in Cypress, Texas and we are excited about the Amenity Center/Complex opening soon. If you are considering a new home in Cypress, Tx, be sure to visit the David Weekley model home and request Julie Stevenson as your sales consultant and Shane Robinette as your builder.

The process was quick and smooth. Our project manager Antonio was really great with communication and so pleasant to work with. Jessica from warranty has been great, always quick to respond and on top of everything. There were a few minor things that needed to be fixed after we moved in. Those were taken care very quickly. We are very happy with our new home, the build quality and also with David Weekley customer service.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Attention to Detail????? As much as I hate to write this because we think the sales team are very nice people, our overall experience with DWH has been very poor. We were given a 7 month build time when we chose to go with David Weekley to construct our forever home. The house was completed in 4 months. Not only did this cause challenges for us because we were moving across country and our timeline was shortened by three months, but we also had concerns that the construction of our home was being rushed. As soon as we moved in, we noticed MANY cosmetic flaws to the interior and exterior of the house. Scuffed paint on walls, doors, and cabinets. Chipped wood on door frames. Scratches on the new appliances. Missing light fixtures. Damage to toilet seats, floor tile, subway tile and cabinet doors. Poorly painted edges and dried paint drips. The attention to detail was lacking in many, many areas. And as we were in the house for less than 4 weeks, other issues starting popping up- such as the varnish coming off of faucet fixtures, paint peeling off of shower tiles, brick & mortar concerns on the exterior of the house. ALL of these issues required somebody coming out to the house to make the repairs and the need for one of us to be home during the repairs. Some of the repairs were scheduled with a date/timeframe, and others were not- people showing up randomly without communicating a time. We assumed that a perk of buying a new home was not having any projects or repairs to do. This experience has proven otherwise. So far, the issues have been mainly cosmetic. Our concern is this…. if there are so many issues we CAN see, what are the issues we CAN’T see? Was our construction rushed like we were worried about?

Landscaping was horrible, already needed to replace the oven, garage door opener only works if you manually hold down the button. Our advisor no longer returns calls or text. Didn't notice at first, but the only closets in the home are in the bedrooms, no linen closets and no coat closets. The home is built up about 2', yet the fence is at natural grade, so the fence is effectively 4' tall. The side yard is most affected by the grade, and the slope is severely steep and you are unable to walk on it due to the fact that the grass (what there is of it) gets scraped away from your shoes. I will never suggest this builder to anyone.

THey never missed an opportunity to go the extra mile and they ensured no detail on our home was overlooked. While we did have a few setbacks and delays, it truly felt like they were doing what they could to get us into our home as soon as possible. Even after we closed, our DW team checked in on us to see if we were settling in okay and if we had any questions. My only regret is I miss speaking with my DW team now that we're living in our home. They were such a vital part of our lives for such a big portion of time. They became great friends and family.

Mike Holt was exceptionally gracious and accommodating. He was informative and helpful with regards to explaining the process toward helping us in achieving our design goals. Robert Sorensen, our builder went out of his way to address any concern that we may have had about even the slightest thing. We visited the home a lot throughout the process, and anything brought up at anytime, was addressed and resolved by our next visit. His professionalism and attention to detail was of a quality that we haven’t experienced before. We felt he genuinely cared about presenting us with the perfect home. You should be very proud of employees like these, because they leave a very positive impression of the kind of organization you have. We had a wonderful experience building our home with David Weekley, thanks to the diligent efforts of these two gentlemen.
