Enjoy a day of family-friendly fun! With a few supplies, you and your little ones can create one-of-a-kind creations to make your Easter hoppily handmade.
Add your own flair to a holiday tradition! Purchase some eggs and an egg-dye kit at your local supermarket. After hard boiling the eggs and letting cool, dye the egg according to package directions. Once dry, wrap rubber bands around each egg – the more the better! Choose a second (darker) color and dye the egg again. Remove the bands after drying and enjoy your masterpiece! Or, add some sparkle to your Easter eggs with glitter! Dye your egg a base color and then choose a matching or contrasting glitter color. Draw a design on the egg using glue and sprinkle with glitter to add some sparkle.
Grab some paper towel rolls and make your very own bunny! Paint the roll in a pastel color of your choice and let dry before cutting in half. Stand the tube up on its end. Add googly eyes and draw on whiskers about an inch from the top. Using construction paper, cut out two bunny ears and glue between the top edge of the roll and the eyes. Using the same sheet of paper, cut out some oversized bunny feet and glue to the bottom edge of the roll (facing front). Attach a pom pom tail toward the bottom of the opposite side to create a fun new friend!
With just a popsicle stick, pipe cleaners and a pom pom, your kids can create an adorable bunny mask! Simply twist three pipe cleaners around the popsicle stick, forming whiskers. Glue on a pom pom nose. Pair with some store bought or hand made bunny ears for a festive disguise!
With just a few simple materials and a lot of imagination, these festive crafts will keep your family entertained for hours. Happy Easter!
