Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Empty Nest Journey My husband and I are empty nesters who have migrated from the Midwest to Texas. Early on in our journey, David Weekley was recommended to us as a reputable builder. Morgan, our David Weekly representative called, texted, and emailed us frequently. She even took photos of the progress and posted them online! She has taken the time to get to know us and we can tell that she cares about not only us, but all of the people that she has sold homes to in our neighborhood as well. She even helped to connect us with services in our area. Morgan has a proactive approach to problem solving, taking care of details before they became issues. We had a good working relationship with our builder Jake. Jake had a team approach to communication and was part of the weekly update calls. He worked hard to make sure everything was completed. Jake even sent house cleaners over to make sure everything was tidy. Moving 862 miles away was a difficult decision to make. Buying a David Weekley home made the process easier! We now have a beautiful home and two lifelong friends in Morgan and Jake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! What a house! What a company! My wife and I just took possession of our new "build on your lot" home in Mystic Shores TX two days before Christmas. This was the first time we have built a new home and building it on our lot when we lived 900 miles away was a great experience. Our salesman, design consultant, and personal builder were so professional. Our salesman worked with us for 2 years before we even signed a contract and then helped us through the entire process. Our design consultant showed us ideas and helped us end up with a home that exceeded our dreams. Our personal builder was just that "personal". I didn't know how valuable it would be to have a friendly, knowledgeable, single point of contact to explain all the building stages. I asked lots of questions during the whole process and everyone took their time to answer them and made my wife and I feel valued. Thank you Bob, Misty, and Tommy! You and your company are the best. Sincerely, Greg and Vicki Andrew

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Coming home to Ozona Ranch..... The purchase of our home was a great experience from the first showing to the post closing and move in. Angie was excellent and very helpful throughout the process. Bryan was also top notch in his effort to make everything correct with the house and it was perfect on move in day. The team fulfilled all their commitments and we know they will be there if needed. The best home buying experience my wife and I have had. Highly recommended.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed in this very poorly constructed home We regret purchasing this very poorly constructed home. We’ve continued to find problems since we closed 3 ½ months ago. There has been little progress on fixing the problems with the home because the tradesmen that come to do the repairs are the same ones that did the poor job to begin with. We’ve spent countless hours putting down tape so they know which areas need repairs. The tradesmen pull up the tape without fixing things. Every time they come they leave a mess we have to clean up. They replaced scratched windows, but the replacement windows they provided were so dirty we had to spend hours cleaning them with rags and razor blades. They come back over and over without fixing the things they were supposed to. We’ve invested so much time waiting at the house for people to show up, only to find that they weren’t equipped to do the repairs at all. Some of the workers that come can barely speak English so we have a hard time even communicating what needs to be done. Materials for some of the repairs were ordered months ago and still somehow haven’t arrived. We’ve continuously asked for information from the builder, especially regarding a leak that occurred before closing that damaged our living room ceiling and garage ceiling. The garage ceiling still hasn’t been repaired fully and we can still see the unevenness in the living room ceiling. We still haven’t been provided the information we requested. They had to pull out some of the toilets to fix the overcut tile behind them and we discovered the toilets weren’t installed properly. There are entire staircases that are not square. The kitchen window was installed crooked and the only way to fix it is to rip the entire window out, which might cause more problems. With all the things we can see being completed so poorly, we are very concerned there are many things we cannot see that will become problems in the future. Although they continue to promise that they will fix everything and give us the information we have asked for, we have little faith that it will happen anytime soon since we’ve heard this promise over and over since closing. Now my husband will have to use his vacation time to sit at the house while the tradesmen come once again to “fix” the problems. We decided to buy a newly constructed home so we could avoid the maintenance/repair issues that come with an older home. This experience has been a nightmare. We definitely made a mistake choosing this David Weekley neighborhood; the quality is so poor that we would have been better off purchasing an older home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend!!! great experience! Home buying process is never stress free but the difference with David Weekly is the relationships with sales rep and builder we’re great! Very personable, always available to answer questions and address any concerns we had. Flexible when and where possible and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our new Home.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Quality takes hit with lack of attention to detail Quick look at house shows nice layout and appealing blend of finishes and colors. However, closer look finds lack of attention to detail and inexplicable design flaws. For example, refrigerator door can’t open without hitting garage door knob. Also, the cabinets have no hardware on them and are nearly impossible to open. It seems like the urgency to meet closing rushed finishing work and now I’m dealing with an extensive list of warranty items on my time that should have been completed and inspected before closing. This has killed much the excitement of owning a new home and my hope is now that David Weekley’s team makes it right — and soon! I want to love my new home but can’t yet with these frustrating issues lingering.
