Colorado Springs, CO (June 29, 2026):  David Weekley Homes, one of the nation’s largest privately held home builders, recently broke ground on its first home, The Rubble, in Flying Horse North, a 1,500-acre master-planned golf course community in Colorado Springs.

The builder will offer only quick move-in homes in the community. Located at 15253 Rubble Drive in the heart of Flying Horse North, The Rubble will feature 4,429 square feet of living space with four bedrooms, three full baths, one half bath and a study.

Several guests attended the groundbreaking, including Housing and Building Association of Colorado Springs Director of Membership and Events Emma Repp-Maxwell; Flying Horse Membership Director Brandon Phillips and Membership Coordinator Taylor Gough; and Colorado Springs Chamber & EDC Vice President of Membership, Marketing & Events Craig Carle and Executive Director for Pikes Peak Housing Network Jill Gaebler.

Located in the Black Forest region of northern Colorado Springs, Flying Horse North features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by golf course architect Phil Smith. David Weekley homeowners will have access to The Club at Flying Horse, which offers year-round events and social programs, private dining, golf practice facilities, two golf courses, spa services, and a European-style athletic club with indoor red clay tennis courts, outdoor pickleball and tennis courts, a heated lap pool, seasonal aquatic facilities, and a fitness center.
