This occurred from the first time we stepped into the model and our sales consultant was pleasant, knowledgeable and definitely not pushy. She appeared confident that the product would sell itself. It did. Communication was constant and there was no concern we had that was too small. Our builder and sales consultant were both committed to make our experience remarkable. We are delighted to be in our new home and know that we are living in quality. We do not need to have another home, but the experience was so good, it is tempting to sell and build another one because it is great to be treat with such dedication to quality. BTW. I have referred three different people (couples) to you before we even moved in. One ended up in a sale. If I know of someone else that was looking to build, there would be no question that I will refer them to David Weekley Homes. Thank you very much for being so committed to quality in all aspects of the home building experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buyers be cautious Fortunately or unfortunately, we were able to observe every detail of the construction of our new DW Home. While we love the home that we now live in (the floor plan works great with our lifestyle, we have an awesome backyard view and we love our selections), watching the high volume of mistakes made during the process had us wanting to pull out of the home purchase almost the entire 7-8months while we watched it being built. It took 7-8months, in part, because mistakes were made, inspections failed repeatedly and work had to be re-done. I’ll add that too many mistakes went unnoticed by our DW builder(our original builder had too many homes he was responsible for which didn’t allow him to do a better job on our home so mid-build a different builder was brought in for support; the transition from one to the next was frustratingly not an entirely smooth one). Additionally I’m not convinced some of the contracted crews hired by DW (tile installers, masonries, carpenters etc) are not day laborers or are all licensed given some of the quality of work and professionalism of the job site. One thing to keep in mind is that new construction in Texas is booming and I believe this means all builders (not just DW) are struggling to find dedicated, high quality crews. The DW home we purchased has many awesome upsides (that’s why we purchased it) but getting to our close date was very frustrating. I’m not saying do not buy a DW home, what I’m cautioning prospective buyers of is to stay involved in every detail (visit your new house daily if you can and inspect the work yourself), if you can. If you do this, you can help ensure you get what you’re paying for. Don’t rely on the builder/foreman to catch all the mistakes that will be made. You must stay in every detail of the build and confirm for yourself that work is being done to your expectations. Also, go online to see if the DW inspections (eg electric, plumbing, framing etc..) are passing or failing. Most of our inspections failed, multiple times. Inspections are public records through the city and readily available to you and anyone. Also, get your own 3rd party inspector. Money well spent. Our inspector identified mistakes that the DW inspections did not catch or (erroneously) had a status of passed. If you’re considering buying a DW spec home, well I’m not sure what to say to you other than it’s still a good idea to get your own inspection done prior to buying and go online to review the DW inspections for the home and ask a lot of questions. If you are looking for an easy experience with no pressure and a great, brand new home, then I highly recommend you reach out to Ethan at the sales center. He is a good human and stands by his word. Charles, the builder of my home along with the other ladies that work in the sales center are also top notch. Very friendly and always aim to please and take care of any concerns you may have. I can’t say enough about the onsite team here in Tavolo. You won’t be disappointed with the experience with them or your home.

Our sales agent and contractor (Karen and Chad) were always available to answer any questions. They were flexible with our work schedules for meeting times.The whole process was smooth, full of details, amazing, most of all fun. We enjoyed every second and we know we made the right choice for our home. It’s perfect! Thank you!
