Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my home BUT huge issue... ...with elevation choices and enormous pressure to make decisions too quickly. I love my home, absolutely. But I have a major complaint and it makes me question whether or not I will recommend David Weekley to friends in the future. When I met with my sales person to put the deposit down on the lot and home to be, I was told I had to choose the elevation and color palette right then and there. That is a huge decision to be made on the spot. When I questioned this I was told I absolutely had to make the decision had to be made then and there. Then my sales rep relented and told me he could give me until the following morning and still hold the home/lot but he wouldn’t be able to take my deposit until I made the decision. I felt horribly pressured. I told him I REALLY wanted an all white home and he told me my only option was to choose the stucco elevation. I had a choice of one white with white trim. I was worried I had no time to research any of this. Never having bought a stucco home before, I typically would have done research, talked to contractors, friends and family, etc. but having such a small amount of time to decide it was impossible to do that. I did choose the stucco in white and when I saw the house in bright daylight it was great. Little did I know though, that on a gray day my home would look beige. All of the homes with white siding look white in all kinds of light. But the stucco changes with gray vs. bright days. All of the homes in my sub-division that are stucco have been painted gray except mine. I can see why this is. Ultimately I am not happy with the color of my brand new home. What a huge disappointment! The real issue here is that I HAD to make one of the most important decisions very quickly. If I’d had more time to think and research this, I probably wouldn’t have made the choice I did. The only person guiding me throughout this process was the sales rep and he is no designer or construction expert.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Many quality issues with our home Our home was built without much oversight from David Weekley homes and has been a nonstop year since we closed constantly finding issues, trying to get them fixed, and fighting with our project manager to get them approved. We have found over 50 warranty call issues in the past year and they still are not all resolved. We have a great new builder assigned to help us out, but it is still a slow going and painful process. We picked the lot and got stuck with David Weekley, not the inverse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from David Weekly New Home Build We found our new home when it was a "spec' home but early enough to make changes and personalize the home the way we wanted. Our sales agent, Mark Lee, was very helpful throughout the experience, communicated with us often to keep us posted on progress made on the home as we lived in another city in Texas. Even during the construction process, the building super, BJ, was equally as helpful in keeping us updated frequently. After we closed and moved into our new home, BJ and Mark continued to assist with some of the unknowns and were more than helpful in getting us headed in the right direction. Our overall experience was fantastic, and the home is wonderful.
