Ratings & Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor Attention to Detail and Craftsmanship Our pre-close punch-list (closed on October 30th) is still not complete (today is November 24th). The lack of attention to detail is incredibly disappointing and definitely not what we expected when we decided to purchase a David Weekley Home. The first attempt to repair the floors included the contractor drilling over 20 holes in the hardwoods and injecting glue into the holes, still not addressed. There was a large scratch in the hardwoods by the island across 8 boards, still not addressed. We had to have two closet doors replaced due to poor paint and runs, the doors were replaced by Diego and the door handle screws were stripped out during the replacement and now scratch our hands when we try to open the door. Two of the stairs needed repaired, Diego repaired one and the other is still not complete. We are missing one window screen, no indication on when that will be installed. There is crown molding on the upper cabinets that needs replace and a missing piece of trim that needs installed but we’ve received no update on when that will happen. We were not told that the garage walls and ceiling were not insulated. To correct this, I’m spending $2,000 to have a company come in and install the insulation. To do this, I had to cut an access panel in the garage ceiling. When I opened that up and got into the ceiling space, I found the dryer vent pipe was damaged and separated and a beer bottle was sitting on the drywall ceiling of the garage (see attached photo). Needless to say, had I not cut into the ceiling to install the insulation, the dryer vent would have continually pumped hot/humid air into the attic space causing mold growth and wood rot. I think the thing that still upsets me the most is that when the punch list was not completed before closing, there was absolutely no one from David Weekly Homes at our closing. It displayed how little the company/builder cares about the customers purchasing their homes. I’m sure you sell quite a few homes every year, but the customer/buyer does not. It just seemed like the sale was over for DWHs and it was not worth coming to the closing, must be an insignificant transaction to the builder. I am in the construction industry myself (SVP of Capital Improvements and I manage over 1,000 apartment rehabs each year at class A apartment communities across the country) and I can tell you that I would not allow Diego to step foot on any job site under my watch. He has absolutely no attention to detail and he has no sense of urgency to complete any task he is assigned or agrees to complete. Nice guy, I’ve talked to him at length, but from one SVP to whoever may read this, he should not be the guy in charge of the detail work on any home. I will say that the only person that has stepped up and starting to save this whole experience for us is Michael (the warranty guy assigned to our home). He has been very prompt, follows up regularly, and seems to truly care about our home and getting things correct. In closing, my wife and I really expected more care and quality in our new David Weekly Home. The entire experience has been incredibly disappointing and I’m not sure I could recommend David Weekly Homes to anyone at this point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New home The building experience of a new home was exciting with many questions. We had a very good builder that cared about the building process. He answered many, many questions. He was always very professional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what we wanted! Our home buying & building process was amazing with David Weekley Homes! We loved our Personal Builder as he went above and beyond on several occasions. Great location at an incredible price point. We bought a luxury home in an up and coming area that is convenient, in Atlanta that is a must! The outside of our home is just as beautiful as the inside. We are so lucky to be a part of the David Weekley family!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Grand Reserve lot 54_harmon We LOVE our new home and feel so lucky to live in it. We’d not built with David Weekly before, and are so impressed with the level of quality. Our builder and the community agent made this one of the best home purchases we’ve made. We feel like family. Two tiny improvements: - the kitchen cabinets were beautiful, but they were not deep enough (did not fit our Saran Wrap) dispenser - our community moved to centralized mail boxes at the clubhouse, and with our deep set back, no one can see our house number from the street, we need house number posts at the street level

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Service was great initially.... We didn't build this home; it was complete right before we bought it. All the sales people (especially Stephen) were nice and accommodating throughout the buying process. He really took time to answer all our questions and find us the answers we need. Unfortunately, right before closing, life happened and the walk through was a blur -- I think we lacked the concentration needed and 30 minutes isn't enough time to truly inspect every nook and cranny. I wish we did, because immediately after receiving the keys/closing, we noticed multiple issues. We were told they would come back and fix anything that was missed, yet no one has been by as promised or called. It's very frustrating and we are still waiting for the warranty department to contact us. For these reasons, it's difficult to give a great review. Perhaps once these items are corrected, we'll feel better about our decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Home Building Process The sales team and builder made the home building experience smooth and delightful. We were walked through the entire process and each process was explained thoroughly. The Sales team were pleasant and always available to answer question. The Builder did an amazing job and this was reflected in the quality of the house.
