David Weekley Homes Celebrates Fourth Annual Nationwide Event by Giving Back
Home builder donates $36,000 to local charities
Indianapolis, IN (May 16, 2019): The nation’s largest privately-held home builder celebrated more than 40 years of Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives by hosting the fourth annual David Weekley Homes World’s Largest Showcase of Homes. From April 1-30, more than 7,200 visitors stopped by model or quick move-in homes across the country to see current innovations in design and décor trends.
As part of the company’s charitable and philanthropic efforts, a $5 donation was given to a local nonprofit for each visitor who registered with a sales consultant during the month-long Showcase of Homes event, amounting to more than $36,000 for 20 local charities. In Indianapolis, more than $900 was donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana.
“At the Ronald McDonald House, we are able to alleviate some of that emotional and financial burden for over 5,000 families a year so that they can focus on the health and well-being of their child,” said Michelle Study-Campbell, CEO of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Indiana. “We are very thankful for partners like David Weekley Homes who help make that possible.”
This donation is one of the many ways David Weekley Homes lives out its purpose of Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives, joining with team members, homeowners and community partners across the nation to make a difference through volunteer and philanthropic efforts.
“Visiting and touring the Ronald McDonald house and seeing how our donations impact those in need is a great reminder of how powerful we can be when we work together as a team,” said Lauren Lewis, project coordinator with David Weekley Homes.
