David Weekley Homes Celebrates its 45th Anniversary in 2021
Houston, TX (May 13, 2021): David Weekley Homes is celebrating 45 years of home building in 2021. The company, which launched in Houston, Texas, in 1976, has grown to become one of the nation’s largest private home builders, operating in 19 cities across 12 states. David Weekley offers a variety of floor plans, including traditional single-family, high-density, attached townhomes and paired homes, and is one of the most awarded home builders in the industry.
The company prides itself on a work culture of caring and contribution and has earned coveted spots on FORTUNE magazine’s “100 Best Companies to Work For®” list 15 times.
Weekley was an early pioneer of open floor plans utilizing windows and light, traffic patterns, room placement and sight lines, known as the builder’s LifeDesignSM concept.
Weekley was the first builder in America to earn the Triple Crown of American Home Building, an honor which includes “America’s Best Builder,” “National Housing Quality Award” and “National Builder of the Year.”
In 2020, the company celebrated its 100,000th home closing.
