David Weekley Homes Closes on Land Deal in Gilbert
Phoenix, AZ (August 12, 2025): David Weekley Homes, one of the largest privately held national home builders, recently closed on a 42-acre parcel of land just south of the southeast corner of Greenfield and Pecos. The builder broke ground and has begun development for a new gated community, Granview at Somerset, within the master-planned community of Somerset in Gilbert, AZ.
Expected to open in the first quarter of 2027, David Weekley Homes plans to offer 75 single-family detached homes for the 90-, 95- and 105-foot sections. The floor plans will range from approximately 3,697 to 5,477 square feet in size, and the builder will have one model home.
Once open, homeowners in Granview at Somerset will have access to a pickleball and basketball court, playgrounds, a trail system, fire pits, large ramadas for family and community gatherings, and a lake. Residents will also enjoy proximity to shopping, dining and entertainment in San Tan Village, as well as 202 freeway access. The Gilbert Arizona Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is located just north of the community.
