DAVID WEEKLEY HOMES HOSTS BLOOD DRIVES WITH DONATIONS POTENTIALLY SAVING 168 LIVES
JACKSONVILLE, FL (January 20, 2015): David Weekley Homes recently partnered with The Blood Alliance in Jacksonville to host a blood drive. The company hosted a drive each quarter of 2015, with yearly totals amounting to 56 units – enough to save 168 lives.
Jacksonville Team Members have been hosting a blood drive each quarter as part of the philanthropic efforts of the company’s CARE program, which focuses on volunteer efforts with various nonprofit organizations.
The Blood Alliance is the sole provider of blood to all Northeast Florida Hospitals and needs 360 pints every day to meet those needs. Blood is imperative for medical operations, accident victims, acute burn victims and those with catastrophic diseases such as hemophilia.
