David Weekley Homes CARE Program
For five decades, David Weekley Homes has been guided by the belief that our work should extend beyond the homes we build. From the beginning, my hope was to create a company where people genuinely care for one another and where our efforts leave a lasting, positive impact on our Team Members, our Customers and the communities around us. Seeing that mission continue through the CARE program is deeply meaningful to me.
As I think about all that we accomplished in 2025, I’m reminded of the generosity and servant spirit of our Team Members. Through volunteerism, charitable giving and community partnerships, we helped create meaningful change for individuals and families across the country. Alongside our Homeowners and trusted Partners, we continued to strengthen and support important causes.
Our commitment to Our Purpose of Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives remains constant, and I’m proud of the difference we continue to make together.
Thank you for being part of this important work, and I hope you enjoy reading about the many ways we made an impact in 2025.
Blessings,
David
Committed to Building Community Character
At David Weekley Homes, we are dedicated to fulfilling Our Purpose of Building Dreams, Enhancing Lives! Not only do we want to build homes that delight our Customers, we are also passionate about making a difference in the communities in which we work and live.
By joining together with our Team Members, Homeowners, Homebuyers and community partners, we are improving lives through the volunteer and philanthropic efforts of our CARE program, which we define as:
Committed to Building Community Character... encouraging a culture of caring and contribution with our Team Members, Customers and Community.
Active in our Community... engaging our communities with Team Members completing hundreds of projects, and through company earnings and the Dovetail Impact Foundation (formerly the David Weekley Family Foundation) donating more than $400 million to worthy causes over the past 30 years.
Responsible to our Community... living up to our responsibility of Building Dreams and Enhancing the Lives of our Team, Customers and Community.
Enhancing our Community... living a life of service to provide true meaning and purpose.
“The CARE program reflects the core values that define David Weekley Homes. It makes a real difference in the lives of our Team Members, Homeowners, Trade Partners, and most importantly, our communities. Through this program, we not only enrich the lives of others, but we also strengthen our own sense of purpose and impact. The CARE program is particularly special to me because it has given me the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in my community, helping to build a future where compassion and community are at the heart of everything we do.”

History of CARE
At David Weekley Homes, helping others and giving back is an integral part of our culture. For more than 20 years, that’s included a robust outreach program with our Team Members donating their time and talents working with local nonprofits.
While these efforts made a profound impact in the communities where we live and build, we knew that we wanted – and could – do more. In 2015, after gathering feedback and support from Team Members, Homeowners and Homebuyers about where to focus our philanthropic efforts, we launched our companywide CARE program.
To drive this initiative forward, we formed a CARE Council comprised of Team Members passionate about service and giving back. These dedicated individuals work behind-the-scenes to develop strategy and provide vision for our three annual companywide events and various local initiatives.
As the saying goes, “It takes a village,” and we are very fortunate to receive so much support from our Team and our community. We look forward to impacting more lives in the coming years!
While our CARE program focuses on many local charitable events, we also work with a variety of national organizations as part of our companywide initiatives. These nonprofit organizations include Habitat for Humanity, Ronald McDonald House, the National MS Society, Sleep in Heavenly Peace and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
Ideally, we support and partner with organizations committed to education and youth development, as well as those focused on improving livelihoods and strengthening family values.
For more than 10 years, we have hosted three annual companywide signature events through our CARE program.
Our CARE Build Month initiative allows us to share our unique skillset as home builders to complete building projects with a variety of nonprofit organizations. From building beds, playsets and ramps to completing repairs and renovations,, Team Members work alongside our Trade and Vendor Partners to lend a hand by completing projects that impact the lives of those less fortunate.
This year, 12 of the company’s 19 local divisions all completed projects to build beds. Seven local divisions as well as the corporate office participated in other build projects building play structures for children fighting cancer, renovating and making improvements at a refugee center, performing maintenance work and repairs at camps for adults and children with disabilities, assembling a stage for an arts center and building wheelchair ramps.
Nashville Team Members partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build 40 builds for children.
The Indianapolis Team built four ADA ramps with Servants at Work, Inc. during Build Month.
We believe it’s important for all students to have the tools needed for success in school. Through our School Supplies Drive, we work together with our extended David Weekley Homes family in the cities where we live and build to ease the financial burden of this expense for thousands of families and provide deserving children with the supplies needed for the new school year.
Team Members in Charleston donated 6,000 school supply items to a local elementary school.
“Tools for Schools is so important because it is a program that keeps giving throughout the year. Teachers can request supplies from the donations we collect and receive them, free of charge, to help make up supply shortages. INK! is extremely fortunate to have such dedicated community partners like David Weekley Homes. Each year we’ve been able to help more and more teachers and students.” | CATHY NEWMAN Executive Director, INK! (Investing in Kids)
Hugh Farr, Chief Development Officer of Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas, shared about the impact of the School Supplies Drive donation from San Antonio Team Members.
Our Giving Thanks, Giving Back Thanksgiving Drive is an opportunity for us to count our blessings by lending a helping hand to provide families in need with a hearty Thanksgiving meal. With the help of Homeowners, Homebuyers and the community, we have provided frozen turkeys and nonperishable items to nonprofit organizations across the country.
With the help of Homeowners and Partners, the Charlotte Team donated 262 turkeys, 1,150 pounds of non-perishable food items and $20,575 to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina.
Thanks to the generosity of Homeowners, Partners and Team Members, the Raleigh Team collected 4,260 pounds of food and 134 turkeys for CORA Food Pantry during their Thanksgiving Drive.
Maddie Archbold with Second Harvest Heartland shared how the David Weekley Homes Team in Minneapolis/St. Paul volunteered and donated to support their mission to end hunger.
WELLNESS-FOCUSED CARE EVENTS
As a way of incorporating both our philanthropy initiatives and prioritizing wellness, Team Members across the country participated in wellness activities including fun runs, a pickleball event and a hike. The company paid the run fees for Team Members and a guest – with all proceeds benefitting local nonprofit organizations.
Houston and Home Services Team Members participated in the Chord Energy Houston Corporate 5K benefiting the Memorial Park Conservancy.
Team Members in Colorado Springs participated in the Creepy Crawl 5K benefiting Tri-Lakes YMCA.
This Year’s Impact · 2025
We are fortunate to have incredible support from our Homeowners, Real Estate Agents, Trade and Vendor Partners, and many others in the community, too. With a heart for service and dedication to giving back, our volunteers inspire us all to do better, go further and reach higher. Take a look at just a few stories highlighting the different ways we are all impacted by working together to make the world just a little better – one project at a time.
“You always hear about the good that comes from doing harity work like this but being a part of it firsthand, from collecting all the items to dropping them off at the school and seeing how excited and grateful the staff were, that makes all the difference. Helping others is really the most important thing we can do.”

Dallas/Ft. Worth Team Members cleaned, power washed, landscaped and organized donations at Arlington Life Shelter.
“It is incredible to be part of an organization that not only contributes to the community but also prioritizes local initiatives, enabling our Team Members to witness their impact firsthand. Knowing that we can assist families by providing not just beds for children but also essential items like toothbrushes and toiletries helps us understand the challenges some families face. I am genuinely grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this legacy.”
