Step one to sprucing up your décor: curtains selection. From pinstripes and paisleys to plaids and polka dots, the possibilities are endless for this upholstery project. Once you’ve found the curtain fabric you love, be sure you have enough material to cover the entire surface you’d like to redesign.

If you have standard size curtains that are 52”x63”, you have enough material to cover an average dining room chair. If you’re working with a panel that is 108” long, you have three full yards of fabric - enough to reupholster a small slipper chair. Four curtain panels that are 52”x84” will cover a large glider.
