Keep Your Home #Trending in the New Year

Walk Like a Moroccan

Walk Like a Moroccan
Children of the '80s rejoice: bold prints and colors of your youth have returned! Pantone is predicting that intense colors will be all the rage in 2018 with hues of bright blue, green, fuchsia and purple leading the charge. Match rugs, lamps and accessories with complementary tones in iridescent accents of turquoise and hot pink, white and frosted almond.
You can also expect geometric patterns to be trending next year. There are so many options for shapes and sizes, this versatile design can be used throughout your home – wallpaper (yes!), tile backsplashes, curtains or rugs. For the timid, start with pillows or throws with a Moroccan geometric print and let your love grow from there.
Life on the Fringe
You might have seen this trend on the runway or even in some clothing pieces and it’s officially made its home. While this trend has certainly gained popularity on the runway, it has also officially made it as an embellishment in the home, too. The movement and fun of fringe also translates well to blankets, but Pantone is predicting that these small pieces have the propensity to catch on like wildfire. In extreme cases, fringe is popping up on curtains or light fixtures so keep your eyes out for the opportunity to incorporate fringe into your home and reap all of the benefits.

What are You Made of?

What are You Made of?
If Pantone’s 2018 trends leave you longing for a return to earthiness, you can still be chic without a hot pink room. One of the most solid trend predictions for 2018 is using wood as an accent piece. Incorporate this natural element outside of the box by adding it to the ceiling in a man cave or a cedar shingle accent wall in the Family Room. From sprouts to redwoods, there are a variety of sizes and ways to encompass wood in your home.
Stay on point and keep your home #trending by introducing a few of Pantone’s predictions into your abode. With design selections of geometric prints, trellis curtains, an iridescent side table and an understated, natural wood bowl, there’s something for everyone.
