Kid-friendly Party Ideas

Games, food and decorations are usually at the top of any party planning checklist. Planning and decorating can be a chore, but with help from your little ones, it can be enjoyable. Whether you’re getting ready for a themed-holiday party, a toddler’s birthday bash or high school graduation celebration, there are plenty of things your kids can help out with.
Let your children decide which games your guests will play. This will motivate them to be helpful, and they’ll feel a sense of pride seeing your guests participate. They can also choose the theme of your party and do most of the decorating, with adult supervision.
Another way to get the kids involved is to let them create and design the invitations with fun colored paper and markers, or on the computer. Some other simple, but helpful tasks your children can complete are blowing up balloons, tidying up the home before guests arrive and helping prepare cookies and snacks for the event.
Involvement from your children will not only let them add a personal touch to the festivities, but it will teach them the importance of planning and team work that they will remember long after the party’s over.
