What Constitutes an Emergency 
An emergency, as defined by the warranty, includes the following:

  • Total loss of heat or air conditioning.
  • Total loss of electricity. (Check with utility company prior to reporting this circumstance to David Weekley Homes or electrician.)
  • Plumbing leak that requires the entire water supply be shut off.
  • Total loss of water. (Again, check with your water department to be certain the problem is not a general outage in the area.)
  • Gas leak. Do not use your phone as this may cause a spark to ignite. (Leave your home immediately, and contact your plumber or utility company.)
  • Roof leak. Although a roof leak is considered an emergency, we will not be able to send a Contractor until the rain subsides. 


After hours, weekends, or holidays, call the necessary mechanical Contractors directly. Their phone numbers are listed on the "Emergency Phone Numbers" sheet (see tab identified as "Emergency Phone Numbers" in your Homeowner Portfolio) and confirmed by your David Weekley Home representative at your Home Buyer Review 4 just prior to closing your David Weekley Home. A David Weekley Homes representative can be reached after normal business hours through a paging network.

Non Emergency Warranty Service If you need to request non-emergency warranty service, please call, fax, mail or e-mail your request to the Warranty Department in your City.

You can use a Warranty Request Form for fax and mail requests if you have one. If you are able to use the Homeowner web site**, you can enter warranty requests online and they will be sent to the Warranty Department automatically.

You can also use the "Contact us" form on the web site to tell us about a problem.

** If you closed on your home in 2001 or later, you may be eligible to use our Homeowner site, MyDWHome.com. To find out, email us with your name and address.
