Ratings & Reviews
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor workmanship, terrible customer service This was our first homebuilding experience and we were excited to be building with David Weekley as they hold what we thought a good reputation. Our experiences during the building phase and now after closing have been abysmal. The craftsmanship of our home is subpar at best. We had numerous repairs within a month of living in the home which then caused more damage needing more repairs. Upon our 11 month inspection, we now have a laundry list of items that are not up to code awaiting repair or just blatant carelessness of things that need to be repaired. We now have the pleasure of dealing with the non responsive warranty representative. We were assured we would be taken care of and any warranty items would be repaired in a timely manner. That has absolutely not been the case for us. We are beyond disappointed with our experience and will never buy/build a David Weekley home again. We also will never recommend them to anyone. We will discourage others from purchasing a David Weekley home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DWH @ Pecan Square Our experience with DWH was and still is amazing. Stephanie (sales) and Corey (builder) are awesome professionals to work with that truly represent the core values of the organization. Andreas (warranty) is the other extension/example of the great people DWH's team has after your home closing. From someone that moved from very far, far away, thank you very much for making our moving experience one that will never be forgotten. Carlos & Liza Pecan Square Residents

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really it's a 4.25 star rating - mostly very good The best parts about the home building process with DW homes is the sales and construction managers. They kept in touch weekly with the progress of my home and let me know right away if there were any delays. I do wish the sales or construction manager would warn people if they won't have a driveway before signing the commitment forms. I would have seriously considered a different location in the community had I known that I wouldn't have a driveway. The warranty manager Mike was seriously unbelievably amazing. So genuinely caring and resolved all of my issues. It's what you want when you first move into a newly built home. He extremely responsive too. The reasons for the .75 star off are: I lost my construction manager 2 weeks before close. So long story short the list of "flaws" that I had been waiting to address with my construction manager (waiting at his request) were then mostly set aside because the new construction manager had double the workload and had to "prioritize" my list. That list was ultimately resolved by the warranty manager after move-in. I also had issues with my kitchen cabinet paint and pulls that took 6 months to resolve. Damage was done that had to be repaired and replaced on my brand new cabinets. I also feel like the designer could have made some recommendations that the average person might not know to make. Like adding a plug in the floor for floorplans that only allow you to put your living furniture in the middle of a room and not against a wall. Warning that some paint types are more prone to peeling. That black stain is really just dark brown. Recommending uplighting in front of the house or other small details that the average person might not think of, but would appreciate the option of discussing. I don't love the awkward guest bathroom that one can only partially open the door because the guest closet space intrudes on the bathroom space. Bad design - but it was the model that I could afford. All of these things are small things in the grand scheme. David Weekly as a builder was great. I would definitely recommend them and build with them again. Overall I'm very happy with my home.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Too many hoops to jump through after closing In the short time Ive been there have been several items that were backordered, missing, or had to be redone. They are responsive so I gave two stars for this, but I shouldn’t have to do continuously reach out to get things fixed properly. As one example the attached pictures was what my house was left after wrong parts used could not fix the problem. I was told to contact the builder from the vendor. I shouldn’t have to do anything. I have had several people come in my house to fix things. This should have been one trip not several. The attached is what my guest saw for the few weeks my hood vent was not fixed of being here for several months.
