Rated 5 out of 5 by from A new level of customer service Working with the David Weekley sales staff (Renee and Brittany) and construction superintendent (Jesse) at Artavia set a new standard for customer service. They always listened to what you were asking rather than assuming they knew what you meant. If issues arose (they always do no matter how hard you try to avoid them) they were addressed immediately and then followed up on to assure they had been resolved to our satisfaction. Though building a new home can be stressful and a serious matter, the staff made it seem easy and we even had time to have some fun along the way. So much so that we have unofficially adopted the staff and bake goodies for them and stop in to say hello when we can. This was my second David Weekley home and I think this process was even better than the first one which I thought was outstanding at the time. Like I said, this team set a new standard for outstanding customer service.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My DWH experience The craftsmanship of some of David Weekely's contractors is poor; I would be embarrassed to put my name on this work. In particular, all of the concrete work - our patio, porch, some places in garage, and driveway is very sloppy. Even the curb and into the street - concrete spills and chunks of curb broken out. It is full is gouges, pitted, stained, scrapped, and in general looks extremely poor; even for an old home - much less a brand new home. This was pointed out on numerous occasions and the response was 'I'll tell my project manager'. No remediation was offered. It's concrete - I don't know what possible remedy there could be other than for me to have to buy, at my own expense, some sort of epoxy. I should not be forced into such an expense to be pleased with the aesthetics of my brand new home. Additionally, when my wife told the Salesperson the desired color of our exterior trim, he took it upon himself to guess as to which shade was intended rather than asking us. We vocalized our displeasure with the applied color, but nothing was done. On a more positive note, our home builder was very friendly and more than willing to accommodate us. He was one of the bright spots in our experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXTREMELY THANKFUL TO DAVID WEEKLEY HOMES I have no words to fully explain how satisfied and happy I am with my experience. From the sales agent, to the builder, to the warranty team, to even the labor workers that helped with the process of getting my new home. I truly stand behind the DW level of customer service. I am a REALTOR myself and having sold plenty new homes from other builders, I can compare and advocate for this builder. 100% customer satisfaction warrantied and I will make sure everyone I know or or work with understand the difference of quality and service that you guys deliver. Many thanks from the bottom of my heart. This house meant a big deal for me and family at this moment. you made it happen. All your employees are compassionated and knowledgeable and I will never forget this experience.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from New Inventory Home Purchase I purchased an inventory home, which was almost done being built at the time of purchase. This review is mostly after-sale feedback. Pros: Home design layout, modern touches & accents, good structure, outstanding buying process, access & ease of communication with Builder, friendliness of staff. Cons: (All After Closing/Move-In) Disappointed in some of the Contractors—sloppy & unprofessional. Contractor’s work wasn’t inspected thoroughly after fixing issues. I had water damaged baseboards (I won’t be attaching pics b/c they were that bad), and repairs & process was careless to say the least. It took me constantly reaching out to get demands met thoroughly, which shocked me due to the nature of the issue (mildew AND mold on inside of many baseboards). While the issue did stem from the flooring company, many things weren’t inspected thoroughly despite continuous communication from Builder. I even—as a non expert here—had to personally inspect & direct them to remove certain baseboards when ideally all should’ve been removed. Project Manager got involved but didn’t really accommodate or do much to be honest. I was displaced for a week & had my work/job disrupted for another 2-3 due to contractors being constantly in and out of my home. There are some minor concerns/requests that still haven’t been addressed, and I closed Dec. 8 (almost 4 months ago). I’ve had a continuous VENTILATION/MOISTURE CONTROL ISSUE, which I attribute to how tightly built these homes are for energy efficiency. Either way, my home reads nearly 80% in humidity levels at times, which is unsafe & unacceptable. I run my unit normally on auto, within average ranges (70 usually). I’ve raised this issue since first month of move in. AC techs have been out to no avail. This is no minor issue according to all techs that have been out. It attracts pests, irritates allergies & can eventually effect home structure. I’m still trying to get this issue resolved. Apart from that, I do love my home overall—although I do need moisture control issue to be fixed. This was just my personal experience.

Beverly and Russ were an amazing team to work with throughout this whole process! We can't imagine going with any other builder.
