HOUSTON, TX (August 1, 2016): David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest private home builder, released the winners of its 12th Partners of Choice Award. The honor recognizes those suppliers that have operated at world-class levels through the year, and have been recognized by the supplier evaluation platform created by the home builder. This rigorous, comprehensive process anchored by the National Trading Partner Survey, evaluates companies in the areas of quality, service, performance in reliability, communication, timeliness, follow-through and other areas critical to the business relationship.

Through a series of evaluations, one-on-one discussions, formalized feedback instruments, coaching sessions and action plans, the supplier evaluation platform allows David Weekley Homes to analyze national trading partners’ performance as well as their channel partners across all industries and measures world-class excellence. The quarterly survey is a comprehensive review of David Weekley Homes’ supplier performance as assessed by approximately 1,000 team members from all levels within the company, and provides our trading partners an opportunity to review and improve their channel alignment and performance.

Dow Chemical Company has received the Partners of Choice award each year since the award’s inception in 2004. Christopher Parmele, Residential Regional Manager for Dow, said this honor is the result of the strong relationship and collaboration between the companies.
“Once again, Dow is honored to even be considered amongst the great companies and organizations that have received this coveted Partners of Choice Award,” said Parmele. “It really is a culmination of all the discussions, communications, meetings and functions where we have worked closely together.”
Another company with a longstanding reputation of excellence is Simpson Strong-Tie, which received the award for the 12th time this year.

This award is validation that we are staying true to his mission.”
Dennis Huston, Sales and Marketing Manager Engineered Wood Products with Boise Cascade, said offering the best engineered wood products is one of the guiding principles behind this company. “Winning the A,A Partners of Choice Quality and Service award for the 10th time makes it even more important to do an ever better job to win again next year,” said Huston. “With the help of the self-evaluation systems from David Weekley Homes, we have all of the information we need in order to make improvements.”
This is the second year BSH Home Appliances, which includes Bosch and Thermador appliances, has received the award and says they feel privileged to again be recognized for their commitment to bringing excellence and innovation to the partnership with David Weekley Homes. “We are extremely proud and grateful to accept this prestigious honor, said Robert Eustice, Director, National Builder Sales at BSH Home Appliances Corporation. “Last year, BSH was the first appliance brand to receive this recognition. First-time recipients in 2016 are Blanco and SRS Distribution, Inc. Daniel Rucker, director of Builder Sales with SRS Distribution, Inc. said this award is an exciting measurement of the company’s success as well as other national builder partners.
