Making it OK to Color on the Walls

Kids’ Rooms

Kids’ Rooms
“Coloring on the walls” can take on a whole new fun meaning if you use whiteboard or chalkboard paint on a section of wall in your child’s room or playroom. Consider using wood trim (painted to coordinate with the room colors) to frame around the outlines of the painted area for a decorator look. With a new, re-usable canvas on the wall, children can create masterpieces, make doodles or play games like tic-tac-toe over and over!
Family Communication Center
Set your refrigerator doors free! Get a jump on getting organized for the New Year by using magnetic paint to set up a family communication center for notes, photos, calendars and children’s artwork. The great thing about magnetic paint is you can paint over it with another paint, and it will still be magnetized.
Home Office

Home Office
Writing to-do lists, budgets and plans is way more fun when you can write on the walls of your home office. Use a base of magnetic paint covered with whiteboard paint so it will double as a magnetic board, too.
As with all other painting projects, it’s important to prep your space properly, tape off what you don’t want painted and follow the paint manufacturer’s instructions. Happy painting!
