Make Your Bash Bloom

As the weather warms up, the world outside is blossoming. Bring some of that freshness into your fiesta with a flower wall! You’ll need several bouquets of fresh flowers (check your local grocery store for beautiful blooms at a lower price), scissors and masking tape (try a combo of white with a cheerful color for a fun pop). Here’s what to do:

  • Choose an empty section of wall that has enough space for a couple of people to stand in front of it
  • If your flowers have long stems, use the scissors to trim them so the stem is about 6 inches long
  • Starting at the top of where you’d like the backdrop to start (we recommend around 7 feet tall), tape a row of flowers, stem-side down, across the designated space, placing them about 6-8 inches apart
  • Moving down from each top flower, secure your blooms in a straight line down to the floor (or a couple of feet up from the floor if you want to use fewer flowers), placing the tape just under the heads to minimize flopping

Have a Hula Good Time

While the classic “frame your face” dance move might be out, framing your face with a glammed-up hula hoop is in! For this simple, yet stunning, hanging photo frame, you’ll need a white hula hoop, a greenery garland, thin floral wire and clear fishing line for hanging. Here’s how to create this masterpiece:

  • Arrange your greenery around the hula hoop so that it covers about one-half to two-thirds of the hoop, doubling up as needed
  • Once you’re happy with how your garland is situated, begin using the floral wire to secure the greenery to the hoop, wrapping the stem every six inches or so
  • If you want to add a pop of color, cluster a few faux flowers together and add them at one end of the greenery, securing them with the floral wire
  • Once the garland is attached, use two lengths of fishing line to hang the frame from the ceiling
