Austin Real Estate Agents: The Home Purchase Process
Getting Down to Business... Paperwork!
Getting Down to Business... Paperwork!
After your Clients have chosen David Weekley Homes as their new home builder, our Sales Consultants will go over the Purchase Agreement with them, in detail, and get things moving on their new home once they have signed on the dotted line! Remember, the Purchase Agreement is only binding once all parties have signed, including our Management Team.
Contingencies Allowed
Sometimes Clients are ready to start building their new home while waiting on the sale of their existing home. If this is the case, make sure your Client provides a copy of the listing agreement and the home is listed at a marketable price. We allow a limited number of contingency sales on to-be-built homes in each community.

Earnest Money
Check with a Sales Consultant to determine the amount of earnest money required for your Client’s specific community.
Is there an Options Deposit?
Our Custom Choices™, or decorator selections and options, require a deposit at the final Design Center appointment. Homeowner Change Requests are different and require 100 percent of the cost at the time of selection. Ask a Sales Consultant for more information.
