HILTON HEAD, SC (November 5, 2013) – David Weekley Homes recently earned five awards in the 2013 Hilton Head Area Home Builders Association LightHouse Awards. Weekley’s Kathryn floor plan in Bluffton’s Hampton Lake claimed three awards, including Best Overall. The Kathryn also won Best Bath and Best Kitchen. The Collins’ Home, The Rose Dhu plan, one of Weekley’s custom homes, received Best Overall and Best Exterior at the LightHouse Awards. CHARLOTTE, NC (NOVEMBER 12, 2013): David Weekley Homes Team Members and members of the Charlotte community collected the equivalent of over 1,200 turkeys for the benefit of Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina. Weekley Homes also presented the food bank with a surprise matching donation of $10,000, bringing the turkey total to more than 2,000!

CHARLOTTE, NC (October 29, 2013): As the economic recovery gains momentum, the housing market continues to see steady, positive increases in new home construction starts. In the Charlotte market, starts for the first half of the year total 4,217, a 39% increase over the same period in 2012.
